Among India’s most cherished festivals, Janmashtami celebrates the birth of Shri Krishna, an embodiment of wisdom, compassion, courage and joy.

Krishna’s life is not only a story from our past—it continues to offer lessons for our present. From “Karma” in the Bhagavad Gita to standing for Dharma, Krishna reminds us that doing the right thing, even when it is difficult, is what truly matters.

Beyond the Celebration

Janmashtami is celebrated with Dahi Handi, devotional songs, fasting, midnight celebrations and beautifully decorated temples. But beyond these traditions lies a deeper message:

Celebrate with joy. Live with purpose. Do your duty. Stand for what is right.

In a rapidly changing world, our festivals give us an opportunity to pause, remember where we come from, and pass these values to the next generation.

Our festivals are more than dates on a calendar.
They are stories, values, traditions and lessons passed from one generation to another.
