Natco Pharma Bags Award For Invention

Natco Pharma Limited has been awarded the first prize for the best invention category by the Exhibition Society of Andhra Pradesh. The governor, S S Barnala, gave away the prize carrying a certificate and a cash prize of Rs 30,000 to A K S Bhujanga Rao, the vice-president (R&D) of Natco Pharma, at a function here on Monday.

The company noted in a release that the award came within a few days of the launch of its Veenat, a life-saving anti-cancer drug. The drug can be used in blast crisis, in accelerate phase and in chronic phase of the disease, the release added.
